Out of round sponsorship
Sponsorship for an event or project may be considered outside the open round application process if there are extenuating circumstances that prevented submission through that process. These proposals will be assessed using the same criteria as used in the opening round application process.
The proposal may be considered for funding:
- Using available sponsorship contingency funding
- By consideration and decision of Council
Our 2025/26 out of round sponsorship program provides funding to support business project or event, which contribute to the local economy and the quality of life for the Darwin community in return for specified benefits.
City of Darwin will only consider sponsorship when there is strong alignment with strategic directions outlined in our Darwin 2030 Strategic Plan.
Priorities for this program are:
Projects or events that create value for the social, economic and cultural, environmental life of Darwin.
