This year's Darwin Christmas Pageant will kick off in the Darwin City Centre on Saturday 14th November 2026.
To make sure you do not miss out on the fun, funding of up to $500 per organisation is available for community groups, multicultural groups, schools, recreational groups, sporting organisations, dance groups and not-for-profits to assist with:
• the cost of materials to build a float
• creating costumes, props or accessories
• hiring a choreographer
• hiring a rehearsal space, and
• any print costs.
To be eligible to receive funding, your group must have completed a full float registration process and be approved as a participant, be based in the Northern Territory, have public liability insurance and no outstanding acquittals or reporting requirements with City of Darwin.
Applications open on 7 September 2026 and close on 30 October 2026. Applicants will be notified of the application outcome within 7 business days after submission. Payment will be made within 30 days of the agreement being signed.
30 funding opportunities offering up to $500 are available and are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Funding opportunities are not available for individuals, government organisations, commercial businesses, or private for-profit entities; however, public schools are eligible to apply.
Please read City of Darwin Funding Policy and Guidelines prior to applying. Successful applications will receive a letter and at the conclusion of the pageant, must submit an acquittal.
