This year's Darwin Christmas Pageant will kick off in the Darwin City Centre on Saturday 15th November 2025 with a Makers Market at 4pm followed by the Pageant at 6pm, Lord Mayors Lighting of the Christmas Tree at 7pm and finishing with Street Food, activities and performances in Civic Park at 7.30pm.
To make sure you don't miss out on the fun, funding of up to $500 per organisation is available for community groups, multicultural groups, schools, recreational groups, sporting organisations, dance groups and not-for-profits to assist with:
- the cost of materials to build a float
- creating costumes, props or accessories
- hiring a choreographer
- hiring a rehearsal space
- any print costs
The be eligible to receive funding, your group must have completed a full float registration process and be approved as a participant, be based in the Northern Territory, have public liability insurance and no outstanding acquittals or reporting requirements with City of Darwin.
Applications open 1 October 2025 and close 3 November 2025. Applicants will be notified of the application outcome within 7 business days of submission. Payment will be made within 30 days of the agreement being signed.
30 funding opportunities offering up to $500 are available and are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Funding opportunities are not available for individuals, government or commercial business or private for profit organisations.
