Community Grants 2026/2027 Round 2

The City of Darwin Community Grants program supports one-off activities and events that benefit the community.

You can apply for $1,000 - $10,000 (excluding GST) for your project. 

Priority is given to projects that contribute to: 

• Developing new capacity-building activities, programs and events that benefit the community
• Building and strengthening partnerships between community groups and organisations
• Engaging underrepresented populations from diverse communities in active leadership

Before you submit:

We strongly encourage you to contact the Community Development Officer about your application on (08) 8930 0300 or email communitygrants@darwin.nt.gov.au 

To complete this form, you will need to provide: 

• an explanation of your project and how it will benefit the community 

• a project plan  

• a budget and supporting quotes 

• a current ABN and Public Liability Insurance up to $20 million cover (yours or your auspicing body’s) 

• a letter of agreement from your auspicing body, if you are being auspiced 

• letters of support from partnering community groups and/or other support materials

 Once you submit: 

Immediately - You will receive a confirmation email. 

4 weeks after submissions close - Your application will be assessed by a panel.  

6-9 weeks after submissions close - We will contact you to tell you if you are successful or unsuccessful.  

Applications will automatically close at midnight on 30 September 2026. Submissions will not be accepted after this time.
